JASON SALMON

Jason Salmon (pronounced SAUL-mun) is a Texas born, NYC-based comedian and actor whose comedy has been described as “The best advice you’ve ever gotten, from the dumbest guy you know.”

Jason’s debut comedy album Force of Nurture (2018) topped the iTunes comedy chart, and his first standup special Biscuits and Gravity (2023) has more than 1 million views, with an additional 2.2M views of his viral Gen-X bit. Salmon’s ongoing Another Weird Week series has racked up tens-of-millions of views and counting, building up an enthusiastic wave of new fans nationwide who celebrate his keen political skewering that plays just as well in Texas as in NYC. Jason deftly sidesteps political tribalism, calling out politics anywhere it tries to keep us small, celebrates our humanity wherever we’re from, and people everywhere love it.

As an actor he’s been featured in 30 Rock, Orange is the New Black, At Home with Amy Sedaris, and Hulu’s Wu-Tang: An American Saga series. Other appearances include HBO, Comedy Central, and Red Dead Redemption 2. Jason has performed all over the world including for the troops in Europe, South America, & Afghanistan. He will release his second full-length comedy special in 2027.

The Plano Comedy Festival is the largest comedy festival in North Texas, presenting around 100 comedy acts across 6 days. From rising stars to national touring headliners, this multi-day celebration showcases a diverse range of comedic talent.

The mission of the Plano Comedy Festival is to enrich the City of Plano and surrounding communities through the comedic arts by organizing an annual comedy festival. Since 2018, the festival has welcomed more than 800 comedians from across the United States and around the world, providing opportunities to perform, network, and grow in comedy.

Plano Comedy Festival, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is funded in part by the City of Plano.

Waitlists are available for sold out shows. To join the Waitlist, you must be present at the venue prior to showtime on the day of the event. You will need to provide your name and how many tickets you'd like to purchase. About 10-15 minutes after the show starts, we will go through our showroom and find the empty seats available and sell tickets in order of arrival.
